Managing an announcement-only extension

About this task

Configure announcement-only extension settings to edit your general and regional settings and modify your announcement message.

Procedure

  1. On the Admin Portal homepage, click Phone System > Groups > Announcement-Only Extensions.
  2. Click the announcement-only extension to configure.
  3. To change the extension details, such as the extension name and number, do the following:
    1. Click Announcement-Only Extension Details.
    2. On the General tab, configure the extension details as required.
  4. To change the extension settings, such as the regional settings, do the following:
    1. On the Announcement-Only Extension tab, click Settings.
    2. Under the Regional Settings section, click Edit.

      You can adjust the time zone, home country code, greetings language, time format, user language, and regional format.

    3. Under the Confirmation Message section, click Edit.

      Enabling a confirmation message determines how long it stays visible on the screen after an action is done.

    4. Under the Site section, click Edit.

      You can change the assigned site for your announcement-only extension.

  5. To change the announcement message, do the following:
    1. Click Announcement > Edit.
    2. From the Set Greeting list, select Custom.
    3. Select the required option and add your message.
    4. Click Done.
