Unassigning a user's phone

About this task

Unassign a user's phone so you can later assign it to another user or convert it to a common phone. Avaya Cloud Office Service Web moves the user's original phone to the Unassigned subtab and assigns Avaya Cloud Office Phone App to that user.

Procedure

  1. From the Admin Portal homepage, click Phone System > Phones & Devices > User Phones.
  2. Click the phone to unassign.

    You can type the name of a user in the Search field to find the user's phone.

    After clicking, Avaya Cloud Office Service Web displays the settings page for the selected phone.

  3. In the Device section, click Change Phone.
  4. On the Change Phone window, select Avaya Cloud Phone Desktop App.
  5. Click Next.

  6. On the Emergency Calls tab, select the check box to accept the terms and conditions and click Next.
  7. On the Add Emergency Response Location tab, from the Emergency Response Location list, select an emergency address.

    You can also add a new emergency address.

  8. Click Next.
  9. On the Confirm tab, verify the change and click Done.

    Avaya Cloud Office Service Web replaces the user's phone with Avaya Cloud Office Phone App and redirects you to the settings page for the unassigned phone.
