Updating a ring group

About this task

A ring group enables you to configure two or more devices or numbers to ring simultaneously for the same duration. After a ring group is created, you can deactivate or activate the ring group when necessary. Additionally, you can remove devices or numbers from a ring group without deleting the entire group.

Before you begin

Create a ring group.

Procedure

  1. Click Users > User List > Users with Extensions.
  2. Click the name of the user whose custom rule you want to set up.

    You can search for the user in the Search field.

  3. From the Phone drop-down, select Incoming call rules.
  4. Under Incoming call rules, My work day section, click Work hours to expand.
  5. Scroll to Ring settings.
  6. To activate a ring group, turn on the toggle next to the preferred ring group.
  7. To deactivate a ring group, turn off the toggle next to the preferred ring group.
  8. To remove devices or numbers from a ring group without removing the entire ring group, click the device or number to remove, and click Delete.
  9. Click Save.
