Editing user information in bulk

About this task

Edit the information of up to 5000 users simultaneously. When bulk-editing user information, download a template in .xlsx format from Avaya Cloud Office Service Web, make the changes on the template, and upload it back to Avaya Cloud Office Service Web.

You can edit user information, such as first and last name, email address, extension number, country, language, department, site, job title, and role.

Procedure

  1. From the Admin Portal homepage, navigate to Users > User List > Users with Extensions.
  2. At the top-right corner, click the More icon.
  3. Click Edit User Information.

    Avaya Cloud Office Service Web displays the Edit User Information window.

  4. In the Delivery method list, do one of the following:
    • Select Download to computer and click Download.

      Your browser starts downloading the Edit User Information template.

    • Select Send as email attachment, enter your email, and click Send.

      Avaya Cloud Office Service Web sends an email with the Edit User Information template attached.

  5. Open the Edit User Information template and edit the user information on the sheet as required.
  6. Save your changes on the template.
  7. On the Edit User Information window, in the Step 3: Upload File section, click Browse and select your template.
  8. Click Upload.
  9. In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
  10. Optional To notify the users of the changes, select the Notify users about Details update check box.
  11. To send the upload result to specific users in the CC: field, enter their email addresses.

    You can separate the emails by a comma or a semicolon if you plan to add multiple recipients.

  12. Click Done.
