User roles

Last Updated : Oct 26, 2023 |

User roles are sets of permissions that determine the level of access to Avaya Cloud Office™ and its features. As an administrator, you can manage the predefined user roles or create custom roles based on user responsibilities and requirements, then assign them to users.

Note:

Custom roles are only available on Premium and Ultimate subscription plans.

The predefined user roles that come with Avaya Cloud Office™ by default are as follows:

  • Billing Admin: Full access to billing functions, user-level settings, international dialing, and limited analytical features.

  • Manager: All capabilities of the Standard (International) role with access to the key functions such as Reports and Call Log.

  • Phone System Admin: All capabilities of the Standard (International) role with access to phone system settings and full access to the user-level settings.

  • Standard: User-level access without international dialing access.

  • Standard (International without Premium): User-level access with international dialing access but without premium dialing access.

  • Standard (International): User-level access with international dialing access.

  • Standard (no Premium): User-level access without international and premium dialing access.

  • Super Admin: Complete system administrator-level access.

  • User Admin: Full access to the user administration, international dialing, and system features.

You cannot modify the predefined user roles. However, you can create custom roles as required.

Avaya Cloud Office™ automatically assigns the Standard (International) role to newly added users. On Premium and Ultimate subscription plans, you can set any predefined or custom role as the default role to automatically assign this role to all new users.
