Adding unassigned extensions with phones

About this task

Add new unassigned extensions with phones that you can later assign to users. When adding new unassigned extensions with phones, you can:

  • Choose Avaya Cloud Office Phone App for softphone capabilities.

  • Choose from your unassigned phones.

  • Order a new phone.

  • Use an existing SIP phone.

You can add multiple unassigned extensions simultaneously.

Note:

Additional charges apply if there is no available license in your company account. You can view the number of available licenses while adding unassigned extensions.

Procedure

  1. From the Admin Portal homepage, click Users > User List > Unassigned Extensions.
  2. At the top-right corner of the list, click the Add Unassigned Ext. button.

    Avaya Cloud Office Service Web displays the Add Unassigned Ext window.

  3. Select a location for the extension or extensions and click Next.
  4. On the Add Users with Devices subtab, in the Qty field, enter the number of unassigned extensions to add.
  5. Optional If you have multiple cost centers, select one from the Cost Center list.
  6. From the State/Province and Area Code lists, select a location and an area code.
  7. From the Number Option list, select one of the following options:
    • New numbers

    • Number Inventory

  8. Optional If you have multiple sites, select one from the Site list.
  9. Click Select a Device, and on the Add Users - Select a Device window, do one of the following:
    • To use Avaya Cloud Office Phone App, on the Other Phones tab, click Avaya Cloud Phone Desktop App.

    • To select a phone from the list of unassigned devices, on the Recently Bought or Desktop Phones tabs, select a phone that is available on your site.

      On the Recently Bought and Desktop Phones tabs, you can see the number of available desktop phones for each model.

    • To purchase a new phone, on the Recently Bought or Desktop Phones tabs, select a phone model.

      If you have unused phones for the selected model, Avaya Cloud Office Service Web automatically selects the ones in your site.

    • To use an existing SIP phone, on the Other Phones tab, click Existing Phone.

  10. Click Select.

    Avaya Cloud Office Service Web returns you to the Add Unassigned Ext window.

  11. To create the purchase order, click Add.
  12. Optional To add more items to your basket, repeat the steps 4 to 7.
  13. Click Next.
  14. Optional When purchasing new phones, add shipping information and confirm your order.
