Configuring limited extension outbound caller ID

About this task

The caller ID is the phone number displayed for outgoing calls. By default, the caller ID is set to the main company number. You can select a phone number after creating the limited extension.

You can set an alternate caller ID when calls are placed to toll-free numbers.

By default, Avaya Cloud Office™ displays the extension number of a limited extension when making internal calls.

Procedure

  1. On the Admin Portal home page, click Phone System > Groups > Limited Extensions.
  2. Click the limited extension to configure.
  3. To set a primary caller ID for a limited extension, click Outbound Caller ID.
  4. In the Existing Phone section, click Edit.
  5. Select the number and click Done.
  6. In the Alternate Caller ID section, click Edit.
  7. Select the number and click Done.
  8. To display the extension number for internal calls, under the For internal calls section, select the Display my extension number check box.
