Managing Message-Only Extension Details

This procedure outlines the steps to configure the general and regional settings of message-only extension details.

Procedure

  1. On the Admin Portal homepage, click Phone System > Groups > Message-Only Extensions.
  2. In the Change Site section, select the extension you want to configure.
  3. Click Message-Only Extension Details and expand the section.
  4. On the General tab, enter the extension number, extension name, company name, and contact phone.
  5. Click Edit to configure the record extension name.
  6. In the contact phone field, enter your phone number to verify your identity.
  7. Enter the email address and click Send Invite. Follow the instructions in the activation email to finish setting up the extension.
  8. Click the check box to include the message-only extension in the company directory.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Click Delete to permanently remove the message-only extension. This action unassigns the licenses and returns them to your account for future use.
  11. Click Confirm.
  12. Click the Settings tab to configure the following settings:
    1. Regional settings: Click Edit to configure time zone, home country code, greetings language, time format, user language, and regional format.
    2. Site: Click Edit to select the company or test site.
    3. Confirmation Message: Click Edit to enable the confirmation message and select its audio duration.
