Configure an available limited extension to change the settings, such as its number, name, and extension holder. You can also enable or disable international calling and set an emergency response location for a limited extension.
Procedure
On the Admin Portal home page, click Phone System > Groups > Limited Extensions.
Click the limited extension to configure.
On the Extension Info tab, type the extension number, extension name, and the email for the user to manage the extension.
Avaya Cloud Office™ sends an email to the user with the link to activate this extension.
Optional To allow calls to international numbers, select the International Calling allowed check box.
If you enable Automatic Call Recording, you can select inbound or outbound calls on this extension. When enabled, International Calling allowed displays the options to select.
On the Extension Info tab, under the Emergency Response Location section, click Edit and fill in the details.
You can set an emergency address for the device. However, you must assign the E911 address based on the current physical location of the device.
Important:
Users cannot make outbound calls without a configured emergency response location.
Read and accept the terms and conditions of E911 emergency calling restrictions.
On the Unassigned Limited Extension tab, click Save & Enable.
