Assigning multiple phone numbers

About this task

Assign multiple phone numbers simultaneously. When assigning phone numbers, you can use the phone numbers in your number inventory or obtain new phone numbers.

You can assign phone numbers to extensions, the Auto-Receptionist, or set the phone numbers as dial-in numbers for Avaya Cloud Office Video & Audio Conferencing meetings.

Procedure

  1. From the Admin Portal homepage, navigate to Phone System > Phone Numbers > All Numbers.
  2. At the top-right corner, click + Add Member.

    Avaya Cloud Office Service Web displays the Add Numbers window.

  3. On the Select Numbers tab, from the Location list, select the country.
  4. From the Number Type list, select one of the following options:
    • Local Number

    • Toll-Free Number

    • Vanity

  5. If you select Local Number, do the following:
    1. Select a cost center if applicable.
    2. Complete the location-specific fields for the phone number or numbers.

      The location-specific fields change depending on the country you select from the Location list.

      For example, if you select Domestic - US/Canada, Avaya Cloud Office Service Web displays the State/Province and Area Code fields.

    3. Select the phone number or numbers from the Numbers Available in your Number Inventory or Numbers Available from Avaya Cloud Office lists.
    4. Click Add Numbers.

      You can see a summary of your order in the Numbers Added section.

  6. If you select Toll-Free Number, do the following:
    1. Select the first three digits of the phone number or numbers.
    2. Select the phone number or numbers from the Numbers Available in your Number Inventory or Numbers Available from Avaya Cloud Office lists.
    3. Click Add Numbers.

      You can see a summary of your order in the Numbers Added section.

  7. If you select Vanity, do the following:
    1. Select the first three digits of the phone number.
    2. Type the rest of the number.
    3. Click Search.

      Avaya Cloud Office Service Web displays a CAPTCHA test.

    4. Type the characters you see in the image.
    5. Click Submit.
    6. Select the phone number or numbers from the Numbers Available in your Number Inventory or Numbers Available from Avaya Cloud Office lists.
    7. Click Add Numbers.

      You can see a summary of your order in the Numbers Added section.

  8. Optional To add more phone numbers to your order, repeat steps 3 to 7.

    You can see the new phone numbers you add in the Numbers Added section as you add them.

  9. Click Next.
  10. On the Assign to Ext. tab, next to the phone number or numbers, click the Assign to Ext. button.
  11. Select one of the following options:
    • Auto-Receptionist

    • Avaya Cloud Office Video & Audio Conferencing

    • Extension

      If you select Extension, you must also select the extension to assign.

  12. Click Done.
  13. On the Confirm Order tab, scroll down and select the check box to accept the terms and conditions.
  14. Click Next.
  15. On the Order Confirmation tab, scroll down and click Done.

Result

Avaya Cloud Office Service Web adds the new phone number or numbers to the All Numbers and Numbers in Use lists.
