Events and associated alarms overview

Last Updated : Jun 05, 2026 |

Avaya Avaya Experience Portal generates events and alarms when errors occur. Events and alarms are grouped by categories. Each event or alarm category identifies the system component that generates the event or alarm. All the events are displayed in log files. All the alarms are displayed in alarm reports. You can access the log and alarm reports through the Experience Portal Manager (EPM) interface or the Media Server.

Event categories

In Avaya Experience Portal, events trigger alarms. Typically, events trigger alarms that are in the same category with the same suffix. For example, PASR events generate QASR alarms. Although each alarm has an associated event, not every event generates an alarm.

This section contains information about Avaya Experience Portal events and their associated alarms. For each event, the event code, its associated alarm code, event message, description of the event message, the reason that the event is generated, and proposed solutions are described.

Note:

An alarm message is a subset of an event message. You can find detailed information about the alarm, such as process name, system name, dates, and times, in the event message.
