TLS Initialization Failed {0}

Event level

Error event. No alarm is generated.

Trigger component

Media Server telephony provider that runs as part of the SessionManager process

Problem description

{0} - The reason for the failure.

At start up, the Media Server SessionManager initializes TLS if the required security certificates are received from the EPM. This error event occurs when there is incorrect or missing configuration for the certificates.

Note:

TLS is required by the SessionManager Telephony provider only if the SIP connection is configured to use TLS.

Proposed Solution

Procedure

  1. On the EPM, verify that the configuration on the Security Certificate page is correct.
  2. Restart the Media Server from the EPM.
  3. On the Media Server, run the following commands and verify that the files referenced by the parameters exist.

    xml.php | grep mpp.ses.public.cert.file

    xml.php | grep mpp.ses.private.cert.file

    xml.php | grep mpp.ses.private.key.file

  4. If the above parameters and files do not exist, do the following:
    1. Set the tracing for Media Server System Manager to Finest.
    2. Restart the Media Server
    3. Review the file $AVAYA_MPP_HOME/logs/process/SysMgr/logfile.log for problems relating to downloading the SES certificate files.
  5. If the above parameters and files exist, do the following:
    1. Remove the files.
    2. Restart the Media Server from the EPM.
