If the EPM<System name> Details tab on the System Monitor page indicates that the operational state of the MPP is any state other than Running, you can verify the operational state.
Proposed Solution 1: if you can log in to the Media Server Service Menu
Procedure
Log in to the Media Server Service Menu.
In the MPP Status table on the MPP Service Menu home page, look at the value of the Run state field. If this field is:
Running, the problem lies in the communication between the primary EPM server and the MPP. Verify that the servers can communicate.
Any other state, start the MPP. If you cannot start the MPP, check the status of the httpd daemon process. For more information, see Checking the state of an MPP process.
Proposed Solution 2: if you cannot log in to the Media Server Service Menu
Procedure
If you cannot log in to the Media Server Service Menu, enter the stat.php command on the MPP to determine the operational state of the MPP.
