View HTTP connection page field descriptions

Use this page to view the parameters of the HTTP connection.

Field or Button

Description

Zone

The name of the zone.

Name

A unique identifier for the HTTP connection.

Enable

The options are:

  • Yes

  • No

Transport Protocol

The protocol used to send requests to SMSC. Select the transport protocol from the drop-down list box. The options are:

  • TCP

  • TLS

Host Address

The IP address of the service provider or the Short Message Service Center (SMSC).

Port

The port used for the connection.

Path

The path of the URL to be used for communicating with the SMSC.

User Name

The user name of the service provider or the Short Message Service Center (SMSC).

API ID

The Application Programming Interface (API ) ID supplied by the service provider.

Connector

The options are:

  • Avaya OneCloud CPaaS

  • AT&T Landline Texting

  • AOS SMS

  • Clickatell

  • ONE WAY SMS

  • WEBTEXT

  • Zipwhip

Type

An HTTP Connector can be of two types. The options are:

  • Outgoing: The connector is used for sending out SMS messages only.

  • Incoming and Outgoing: The connector is used for processing incoming SMS messages and also for sending out SMS messages.

    Note:

    This option is only available for connectors that support both incoming and outgoing SMS messages. By default, an HTTP connector can only be used for processing outgoing messages.

An Outgoing connector is assigned to all SMS processors in the same zone whereas an Incoming and Outgoing connector needs to be assigned to a specific SMS processor.

Use HTTP Proxy

The proxy setup to be used while sending the HTTP or HTTPs request. Comma separated values comprising of proxy protocol, proxy server, and proxy port.

The options are:

  • Yes

  • No

Proxy server

The proxy setup to be used while sending the HTTP or HTTPs request. Comma separated values comprising of proxy protocol, proxy server, and proxy port.

Proxy Port

The proxy setup to be used while sending the HTTP or HTTPs request. Comma separated values comprising of proxy protocol, proxy server, and proxy port.

Short Code/ Long Number

Organization

The short code or the long number that is provided by the SMSC in this box.

The type of organization that can use the short code. The options are:

  • <All> : All organizations can use this short code. If the administrator selects multiple options in the drop-down list, only <All> is saved.

  • <None>: None of the organizations can use this short code. The administrator can select other organizations in addition to <None>.

  • The other organizations that are enabled in the system.
