Problem description

This error event could be generated by one of the following reasons:

  • The logging client on the Media Server could not send a log message to the network logging service on the EPM because there was no logging-related configuration.

  • The Media Server is in the No Configuration state because the EPM has not sent the configuration to the Media Server.

The Media Server logged this warning event in the log files. This event was not sent to the EPM.

Follow the steps below to correct the problem:

Procedure

  1. Validate the following parameters on the Media Server by using the command xml.php:
    • Media Server.log.netaddress (IP address of the EPM)

    • Media Server.log.logserviceport (The default is 8080)

    • Media Server.log.servicename (NetworkLogServer)

  2. Verify that you can ping the EPM from the Media Server.
  3. Restart the Media Server.
  4. Restart the EPM.
