Renew Certificates

The Renew Certificates page enables you to renew the self-signed or temporary server certificate installed on the server for Web Server repositories. Use this page to renew a self-signed or temporary certificate only.

The Renew Certificates menu option appears if:

  • You have newly installed the Communication Manager where self-signed or temporary certificate is generated during the installation.

  • You have migrated the Communication Manager from a server that contains valid temporary certificate which is restored in the new server.

Renew Certificate field descriptions

The Renew Certificates page displays the following content of the server and application certificates.

Name

Description

File

Displays the file name of the certificates individual file, which is the same in all repositories. The server certificates are stored in a concatenated file as a certificate chain.

Issued To

Displays the name of the company to whom the certificate is issued.

Issued By

Displays the name of the company who has issued the certificate.

Expiration Date

Displays the expiry date of the certificate.

Installed In

Displays the list of single letter identifiers for the repository in which the certificate is installed.

Displaying the certificate details

Follow the given steps to view the self-signed certificate details.

Procedure

  1. On SMI page, under Administration tab, select Server (Maintenance).
  2. Under Security section, click Renew Certificates.
  3. Select a certificate to display the details.
  4. Click Display.

    The Renew Certificates - Display page displays the content of the certificate.

Renewing a certificate

About this task

susers group members can renew the self-signed certificate.

Procedure

  1. On SMI page, under Administration tab, select Server (Maintenance).
  2. Under Security section, click Renew Certificates.
  3. Select a certificate to renew.
  4. Click Renew.

    The Renew Certificates – Renew page displays a confirmation message.

  5. Click Renew.
