Adding a group

About this task

Use this procedure to add data access groups to the locations created in Avaya Control Manager. You can create maximum 100 groups in Avaya Control Manager.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Control Manager interface as an administrator.
  2. On the Avaya Control Manager webpage, click Groups.

    The system displays a list of available locations in the navigation pane.

  3. Select a location and click Add Parent Group.
  4. In the Group Details section, do the following:
    1. In the Name field, enter the name of the parent group.
    2. In the Description field, enter a description of the parent group.
  5. Click Save.

    The page gets refreshed.

  6. In the navigation pane, click the parent group that you created earlier and then click Add ACM Group.
  7. In the ACM Group Details section, do the following:
    1. In the Entity Type field, select the entity type that you want to associate with the group.
    2. In the Name field, enter a name for the entity type.
    3. In the Description field, enter a description of the entity type.
    4. In the Systems field, select Oceana.
  8. Click the Entity Assignment tab.
  9. In the Available section, do one of the following:
    • To move one item: Select the item and click the arrow icon to move the selected item to the Selected section.

    • To move multiple items: Press the Ctrl key to select and click the arrow icon to move the multiple items to the Selected section.

    Repeat Step 6 to Step 9 to add each required Entity Type in the data group.

  10. Click Save.
