Mail Store field descriptions

Use the Mail Store option to:

  • Configure a distribution group address for the From header of each email that goes out from the Avaya Oceana® mailbox. All outgoing emails from the agents are configured with the email address of the distribution group, instead of the actual mailbox from which the emails are sent.

  • Configure the outgoing emails to be approved prior to being sent out to a customer.

  • Configure a specific percentage of outbound reply emails from agents to go through an approval process.

Name

Description

Mailbox

Local-part (username) of mailbox email address.

Domain

Domain name of the mailbox email address.

Display Name

The name that appear in the Email From address.

Inbound Server

The host name of configured Inbound Server along with the respective security protocol.

Inbound Mail Threshold

The maximum number of Email messages to be retrieved from the mailbox every scan interval.

You can enter a different value for this variable for each mailbox.

Outbound (SMTP) Server

The host name of configured Outbound Server.

% of mail to send to approval

The specific percentage of outbound reply emails from agents can be set to go through an approval process.

Approval for Fowards

To enable email approval process for email forwards, that is, if incoming emails are targeted for approval for individual mail box.

Credentials

Credentials to be used to access chosen mail servers.

Rule Group

The name of the Rule Group to be applied on the email messages received from the current Mail Store.

Agent Initiated Email

Sets the mailbox to allow an agent to initiate an Ad-Hoc email (emails that are initiated by agents without an incoming email from customer).

Note:

When the Agent Initiated Email option is selected for a mailbox, any email-enabled Avaya Oceana® agent can send out an email from that mailbox. The outbound email comes from that mailbox, and not from the agent.

Allow Multireply

To enable the multireply feature for individual mail boxes.

Send as group

Sets the distribution group address for each outgoing email sent from the current mailbox.

The text box next to the check box displays the email address of the distribution group that is used for outgoing emails. All the outbound emails sent from this Mail Store have a group address as the sender address.

Note:

The Send as group option is available for authorized SMTP access and when the mailbox is a member of the Avaya Oceana® distribution group.

Shared

Select this option if the mailbox on the mail server is configured as shared. .

Note:

If a mail server is configured as a shared server, all the configuration is done on mail server side, you must only provide access information (shared username in addition to mailbox info).

Username

The shared user name of the account used to connect to the mailbox.
