Customizing layouts

About this task

You can customize layouts so that Avaya Workspaces agents and supervisor can see relevant options when they log in. For example, add new sidebar options that display specific default or custom widgets when selected.

Procedure

  1. Log on to Avaya Workspaces as an administrator user.
  2. On the Avaya Workspaces administrator interface, click the Layout Manager icon.
  3. Select a layout to edit.
  4. On the CUSTOMIZE LAYOUT tab, select the layout to change.

    For example, select Voice.

    Important:

    Ensure that you configure the widget on the visible pane of the channel, so that the widget is present and visible when the agent views a work card.

  5. On the CUSTOMIZE SIDEBAR tab, select a sidebar tab or click Add New Sidebar Tab.
  6. If this is a new sidebar, in the Name field, type the name for the sidebar.
  7. If this is a new sidebar, in the Description field, type a description for the widget.
  8. From the Icon list, select an icon for the widget.
  9. In the Align field, select the required alignment.
  10. In the Role field, select the required role.
  11. From the Select Layout list, select a layout.
  12. From the Select Widgets list, select the widgets that you want to appear on the layout.
  13. Click Save Changes.

    When an agent logs in with this specific layout assigned, the configured widgets appear on the relevant tab.
