Deleting customer history

About this task

If you receive a customer right to be forgotten request, use the Oceana Data Management utility to delete customer history records from Omnichannel, OFFLINE, Context Store, and Avaya Analytics™ databases. You can search for customers based on customer ID, email address, phone number, social details, or account ID.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Omnichannel Database server.
  2. Start the Oceana Data Management utility.
  3. In the Oceana Data Management utility, click Privacy.
  4. In the navigation pane, click Delete Request.
  5. In the Customer Search area, select one of the following options from the drop-down list:
    • ID

    • E-mail

    • Phone

    • Social details

    • Account ID

  6. In the Equal To field, type the appropriate value based on the option selected in the drop-down list.
  7. Click Search.
  8. Depending on the databases you want to delete the customer history from, select the Delete from OCP, Delete from Analytics, or Delete from Context Store check box.
  9. Select the customer and click Delete.
    Note:

    If a customer history record is not found, you can still choose to delete the history from the Avaya Analytics™ database that corresponds to the identifier used to search for the record. For example, delete data from the Avaya Analytics™ database that corresponds to a phone number.

  10. Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete the customer history record.
