Configuring Basic authentication settings

About this task

Basic authentication such as username and passwords required by Oceana Mailboxes (Mailstores) to access the mail server, send, and retrieve emails.

Use this procedure to configure the basic authentication settings.

Procedure

  1. Start Omnichannel Administration Utility.
  2. In the navigation pane, click E-mail.
  3. Click Authentication.
  4. In the Mailbox Authentication Settings screen, click Add.
  5. In the Name field, enter a name for the authentication setting.
  6. In the Authentication Type field, select Basic.
    Note:

    Basic option is selected by default.

  7. In the Basic Authentication Credentials section, in the Password field, enter a password for the authentication credentials.
  8. In the Confirm Password field, re-enter the password provided in the Password field.
  9. Click Save.

    The basic authentication credentials are set.
