The Agent Layout Provisioning feature, administrators can create multiple layouts to assign to agent groups. You can create a maximum of 50 layouts using Avaya Workspaces.
Using the Layout Manager, you can do the following:
View a table with all the available layouts.
Export each individual layout, import a new layout, edit one of the existing layouts, clone a layout, and create a new layout.
Delete any of the custom layouts created. The default layout can only be modified but not deleted.
A layout associated with a set of groups can be deleted without removing the groups from the layout. When you click delete, a warning dialog is displayed to confirm if the layout must be deleted. If you confirm, the layout is deleted and all the groups are available for assigning again. If an agent was in a group and that group layout was deleted, the agent is assigned to the default layout when they subsequently log in.
You can choose from a list of available agent groups which can be assigned to the current layout. The grayed-out groups indicate that the group is already assigned to a layout. This allows you to move from the singular layout structure to the new multiple layouts structure to import the layout .json files. The imported layouts are available on the Layout Manager in the Layouts tab. The previously imported layouts adopt the new multi-layout structure and are available for assigning to agent groups. When you upgrade from Avaya Workspaces 3.6.x to a later version, if a layout migration is required, you can migrate each layout individually by clicking the migrate layout button on each of the layouts listed. You can also view the version number of each of the layouts, along with the layout name and description. Each layout has a reset button which resets that specific layout, and does not affect any other layout or custom widgets.
Agents that are in multiple groups with different assigned layouts can select their preferred layout in the Layouts tab of the Settings widget. The default layout is selected on first login. After that agents can choose their preferred layout from the drop-down menu. The selected layout is applied and is saved as the preferred layout and is loaded on the subsequent logins. If the current preferred layout is removed from the agent's group, the default layout is applied if Avaya Workspaces refreshes, or for subsequent logins.
