Configuring Avaya Spaces SSO for Avaya Spaces clients

Last Updated : Jun 10, 2026 |

About this task

With the Avaya Spaces SSO functionality, Avaya Spaces clients can use features available through Avaya Aura® Device Services REST APIs, such as dynamic configuration or contact search in Avaya Aura® directories. Avaya Spaces clients use Avaya Spaces SSO Bearer tokens to authenticate on Avaya Aura® Device Services REST APIs.

When Avaya Spaces SSO is disabled, Avaya Aura® Device Services REST API features are unavailable for Avaya Spaces clients.

This procedure applies to Avaya-provided clients, such as Avaya Spaces Calling browser extension, and to your own custom Avaya Spaces clients.

Before you begin

Configure your company and domain on Avaya Spaces.

Procedure

  1. On the Avaya Aura® Device Services administration portal, navigate to Spaces > Spaces SSO.
  2. Select the Enable SSO check box.
  3. In Domain, type the name of the domain configured for your company in Avaya Spaces and click Add.
  4. If you have multiple domains configured for your company in Avaya Spaces, repeat the previous step for all these domains.
  5. If you are configuring Avaya Spaces SSO for your own web client, do the following:
    1. In Client ID, enter the ID of your web client.
    2. Click Add.

This step is not required for the Avaya Spaces Calling browser extension because Avaya Aura® Device Services already contains information about its ID.

  6. Click Save.
