Configuring the revocation check policy

Last Updated : Jun 10, 2026 |

About this task

You can configure a certificate revocation check policy on Avaya Aura® Device Services. When a revocation check policy is enabled, Avaya Aura® Device Services checks the revocation status of a certificate before establishing a secure connection using this certificate. If the certificate revocation status does not comply with the configured policy, the connection is refused.

Procedure

  1. On the Avaya Aura® Device Services web administration portal, navigate to Security Settings > Certificate Revocation.
  2. From Certificate Revocation Validation, select whether to use revoked certificates as follows:
    • NONE

    • BEST_EFFORT

    • MANDATORY

  3. From Check method, select whether Avaya Aura® Device Services checks the revocation status of other certificates in a certificate chain:
    • ONLY_END_ENTITY: Avaya Aura® Device Services checks only the end-entity certificate in the certificate chain.

    • CERTIFICATE_CHAIN: Avaya Aura® Device Services checks the revocation status of all certificates in the certificate chain.

  4. Click Save.
