Avaya Aura® Device Services creates backups of configuration files and user data automatically on a weekly basis. Avaya Aura® Device Services uses the following default settings for automatic backups:
Setting |
Value |
Date and time |
Each Sunday at 12:00 a.m. |
Backup file location |
/var/log/Avaya/backup/ |
Number of backups stored |
Three rotating backups |
Password |
RAPtor@WELcomE |
If required, you can update the default automatic backup settings using the Avaya Aura® Device Services web administration portal.
Important:
Avaya Aura® Device Services recommends that you change the default password for automatic backups immediately after installing or upgrading Avaya Aura® Device Services.
If STIG hardening is enabled, for automatic backups, you must configure a password 15-character long or more. The default password does not meet STIG requirements and will cause backup failure. You can review the current password rules using the sys passwdrules show command.
In cluster deployments, if any Avaya Aura® Device Services node is down, then the automatic backup creation process fails.
If the backup creation process fails, Avaya Aura® Device Services generates an alarm on System Manager or on other SNMP server configured in your deployment.
