Checking the Avaya Aura Device Services status from the CLI

Last Updated : Jun 08, 2026 |

About this task

You can check whether the services of a local Avaya Aura® Device Services node are active using the command line interface. If Avaya Aura® Device Services indicates that any service is inactive, then the node is not working as expected.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Avaya Aura® Device Services CLI using an SSH connection.
  2. Type svc aads status.

Result

The system displays the current status of services of the Avaya Aura® Device Services node.

  • If a service is active, its status is Running.

  • If a service is currently inactive, its status is Not running. In this case, Avaya Aura® Device Services also displays additional status information:

    • Inactive: The service is turned off.

    • Activating: The service is starting or restarting.

The following is an example of the command output where all services are active:

[admin@aads ~]$ svc aads status
