Dialing Rules page field descriptions

The dialing rule takes the standard phone number and country code as input and applies the appropriate rule to form a dial format number. These rules are applied only for dialing, and the standard phone numbers in the POM system are not changed.

Field or Button

Description

Country code

Displays the country code.

Country name

Displays the country name.

Strip

Use to specify the number of digits to remove from the start of the standard phone number, before you apply a prefix.

Prefix

Use to specify special characters/digits that are prefixed to the standard phone number before dialing. You can specify special characters such as #, *,-. For example, you can have prefixes like *9, or #9.

Area Code

Use to specify an area code for the selected country.

Description

Use to specify a brief description about the dialing rule.

Actions

Use to edit the dialing rule.

Use to delete the dialing rule.

Add

Use to add a new dialing rule.
