Deleting contact attributes

About this task

Use this procedure to delete the custom contact attributes. You cannot delete the predefined contact attributes.

Note:
You cannot delete an attribute in the following scenarios:
  • If the attribute is associated with a filter template.

  • If the attribute is used in a database-based import.

  • If the attribute is used in a campaign strategy, rule, or agent script.

If an attribute is marked as private, a user from that organization can delete the attribute when no other organization uses the attribute.

A global user can delete the custom attributes belonging to any organization if the attribute is not used in any filtering criteria or associated with the database import. You cannot delete an attribute if it is a part of a running import.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation pane, click Proactive Outreach > Manager.
  2. On the Contacts menu, click Contact Attributes.
  3. On the Contact Attributes page, point to the required attribute.

    POM displays actions icon for more options.

  4. Click actions icon and click Delete.
  5. In the Delete dialog box, click Delete.
