Name

Use to specify the name of the file splitter.

Note:
  • You cannot edit this field after you save the file splitter.

  • You can use a maximum of 40 characters in this field.

  • You cannot use the following characters:
    • white space

    • ~

    • ^

    • `

    • !

    • #

    • $

    • '

    • ;

    • \

    • "

    • <

    • >

Description

Use to specify the description of the file splitter.

Note:

This field is optional.

Organizations

Use to associate organization with a file splitter. To associate organizations, add the required organizations from the Available Organizations list to the Selected Organizations list.

To do the following tasks, use the following actions:
  • To add an organization from the Available Organizations to the Selected Organizations, click Move icon.

  • To remove an organization from the Selected Organizations to the Available Organizations, click .

  • To add all organizations from the Available Organizations to the Selected Organizations, click Add All.

  • To remove all organizations from the Selected Organizations to the Available Organizations, click Remove All.

Criteria

Use to add the Filter Template, Contact List, and Zone. The maximum number of splitter criteria allowed is 50.

Use the following actions to do the following tasks:

  • Add Criteria - Use to add new criteria.

  • - Use to delete criteria.

Note:

If a splitter is configured for a for a large number of contact lists (for example, 50 contact lists), do not run the splitter out of dialing order to avoid performance impact on the POM system.

Split Contacts from following file -

Select Local File Import or SFTP File Import. Maximum of 2 GB master file size is allowed. Encoding format UTF–8 is supported.

Local File

Use this option if the source file is on the local machine.

On the POM server, specify the path of the local machine from where the file uploads.

To import a file, ensure that the avayavp user has the READ permission for the following:

  • The file.

  • The parent directories of the file.

To enable or disable the permission, the root user can use the chmod 455 command.

Ensure that you use the chmod command to assign the READ permission to all the directories individually on the path.

You can import the contacts.csv file from the following location:

/home/craft/Contacts/Files/Today/contacts.csv

The contacts.csv file can contain custom attributes.

If the custom attributes are present in the .csv file, create the attributes with the correct data types on the POM system before you run the splitter.

Note:

You can import .csv files with the ANSI or the UTF-8 encoding format.

To split a file, an avayavp user must have the READ permission for the following:

  • The file.

  • The folder in which the user copies the file.

Local path on the POM server (Including file name)

Specify the local path on the POM server. The path must include the name of the .csv file.

SFTP File

Type text in the following fields:
  • SFTP host name

  • Username

  • Password

  • Remote path

For a secure connection, enable the Secured option.

How are fields separated from each other ?

Select one of the following options:

  • Comma(,)

  • Tab

  • Colon(:)

  • Semicolon(;)

  • Vertical slash(|)

  • Other: Type the option in the text box.

Note:
The following are the invalid separators:
  • Period (.)

  • #

  • $

  • &

  • %

  • /

  • "

Advanced Options

Select the following options as required:

  • Empty Contact List before import:

    Select this check box to empty the contact lists before importing data in the list.

    The following options are available after you select this check box. Select the following options as required:

    • Pause Associated Campaigns if Emptying Contact List: If you select this check box, all the running campaigns associated with the contact lists pause, the contact list gets emptied, and the paused campaigns resume.

      Caution:

      Do not use this option when dialing is in progress. If the campaign jobs fail to pause within a stipulated timeout interval, the campaign jobs might remain in PAUSING/PAUSED state until the jobs are manually resumed.

    • Ignore Active Exclude Contacts if Emptying Contact List: If you select this check box, the contact list gets emptied keeping all the active exclude contacts in the contact list.

      Note:

      If you do not select this option, all the excluded contacts are emptied from the contact lists.

    • Ignore Callback On Contacts if Emptying Contact List: If you select this check box, the contact list gets emptied, keeping all the callbacks on the contacts in the contact list.

      Note:

      If you do not select this option, all the excluded contacts are emptied from the contact lists.

Note:

  • Automatically update time zone for phone numbers

  • Check phone numbers for reject patterns

  • Check phone numbers for phone formats rule

  • Check phone numbers/E-Mails for DNC

  • Clean up non numeric characters from phone numbers

  • Empty phone on match with reject patterns or phone formats rule

  • Empty invalid e-mail addresses

  • On duplicate record found, select any of the following:
    • Update existing contact

    • Ignore new contact

  • The following advanced options are available if the advanced guard time is enabled:

    • Automatically update state for phone numbers

    • Automatically update wireless for phone numbers

      Note:

      Advanced guard time is enabled by default.
