Procedure

  1. In the navigation pane, click Proactive Outreach > Manager.
  2. On the Contacts menu, click Contact Lists.
  3. On the Contact Lists page, under the Contact List Name column, point to the contact list you want to empty.

POM displays actions icon for more options.

  4. Point to actions icon and click Empty Contact List.

POM displays the Empty Contact List dialog box.

  5. In the Empty Contact List dialog box, choose from the following options as required:
    • Pause Associated Campaigns: If you select this option, all the running campaigns associated with the contact list pause, the contact list gets emptied, and the paused campaigns resume.

      Caution:

It is recommended to not use this option when dialing is in progress. If the campaign jobs fail to pause within a stipulated timeout interval, the campaign jobs might remain in PAUSING/PAUSED state until they are manually resumed.

    • Ignore Active Exclude Contacts: If you select option, the contact list gets emptied keeping all the active exclude contacts in the contact list.

    • Ignore Callback On Contacts: If you select this option, the contact list gets emptied, keeping all the callbacks on the contacts in the contact list.

  6. To confirm emptying the contact list, click Yes, or to cancel the emptying and return to the Contact Lists page click Cancel.

After you click Yes, POM displays the following message:

Created a job to delete <number of contacts> records from this Contact List.

    Note:

If you empty a contact list while importing the list, POM deletes the callbacks.

If you configure advanced area code configurations, ensure that you delete all the callbacks from the callback manager.
