Field or Button

Description

Import DNC Data Source Information

DNC data source Name

A unique identifier for the DNC data source.

DNC data source Description

A brief description of the DNC data source.

This field is optional.

What to Do

Use the option button to select:
  • Add Address: The phone numbers and or the email addresses are added to the DNC list.

  • Remove Address: The phone numbers and or the email addresses are removed from the DNC list.

DNC File Location Type

Use to select one of the following file import options:

  • Local File - Select this option if the source file is located on the local POM system.

    Note:

For 8.1.1 and later versions of Avaya Experience Portal, when a user copies a file to the POM system with the Local File option, the owner and group values of the user id are assigned. All the permissions (read, write, and execute) for other users are removed. Therefore, you cannot copy a file with the Local File option as other users.

To enable local file import for 8.1.1 and later versions of Avaya Experience Portal, do one of the following:
    • Make avayavp the owner of the file.

    • Include the user in the avayavp group.

    • Enable read permission for the other users for the file.

  • SFTP File - Select this option to import using the Secure File Transfer Protocol.

Upload Addresses From Following File

You see this field if in DNC File Location Type, you select Local File.

In Local path on the POM server, specify the path from where you upload the file. The recommended path is /opt/Avaya/avpom/POManager/public/{OrgID}/dncimport/{filename}.

Note:

If you want to add a User Contact ID or a Customer ID or add the address into a DNC list for a specific number of days, the file must be in the following format:

For example,

ID,ID_TYPE,EXC_DNC_UNTIL_X_DAYS
18,U,1
1549,c,5
749,C,2
optesting_@gmail.com,,4
45682-@avaya.com,,3
jkl@gmail.com,,1
4575224,u,1
  • ID: ID is the DNC address. For example, an email address, a phone number, the user contact ID, or the customer ID.

  • ID_TYPE: U or C, where U represents the user contact ID and C represents the customer ID. U or C are not case-sensitive. If the address is not of type user contact ID or customer ID, then keep this field blank.

  • EXC_DNC_UNTIL_X_DAYS: The days for which address is to be added into the DNC list.

If you do not specify a value for EXC_DNC_UNTIL_X_DAYS, then POM permanently adds the address into the DNC list.

You can import .csv files having either ANSI or UTF-8 encoding.
