You can exclude contact records of a contact list from processing.
The contacts marked as excluded are not picked for processing through the new campaigns started after the exclusion.
In a running campaign, the contacts that are not yet processed and marked as excluded, POM removes the contacts from the contact list of that campaign. POM does not immediately exclude the contacts if the processing is in progress or if the contacts are marked for a callback or retry. Such contacts are marked as excluded at the time of the next processing attempt.
For example, a contact list associated with a running campaign has 10 contacts, and five contacts are already picked up for processing. If you exclude all the contacts in this contact list, POM excludes and removes only the five contacts that are not yet picked up for processing, but POM continues processing the other five contacts that are already picked up for processing.
For example, a contact list associated with a running campaign has 10 contacts, and five contacts are marked for Callback or Retry. When the callback or retry time for the contacts occurs, POM checks if these contacts are marked as excluded. If the contacts are excluded, POM does not pick these contacts for processing. POM Dashboard does not reduce the count of un-attempted Contacts. The campaign job runs till the callback or retry occurs.
To attempt the processing the excluded contacts, remove these contacts from the exclusion list.
