AE Services connection overview

Last Updated : May 30, 2022 |

Application Enablement Services (AE Services) is a component of the Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity solution. With the AE Services server, the Routing Core Server can interact with Computer Telephony Interface (CTI) applications. The AE Services server allows CTI applications to monitor and control endpoints, agents, and calls. To use CTI applications in your contact center, you must connect AE Services servers to the Routing Core Server.

On the AES Servers screen, you can add new AE Services servers to the Configuration Server after deploying the contact center. You can also view the list of configured AE Services servers and their status details. You can also manage and delete the created AE Services server configurations. After you delete an AE Services server from the contact center, you cannot use the services that the contact center provides.

For more information about the internal AE Services server configuration, see Administering Application Enablement Services for Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity. For more information about the external AE Services server connection, see the AE Services migration section in Migrating to Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity.
