Group call overview

Last Updated : Jan 19, 2024 |

Routing Core Server supports the configuration of group calls. An group call can include up to 100 members. Each coverage answer group has a unique extension. The extension must be in the format of a Local extension type that you configure for your contact center.

You can add only configure endpoint extensions as the group members. You cannot add VDN extensions or agent IDs. You can add one extension to multiple groups, but you cannot add one extension to the same group twice.

You can configure coverage for the group. If all group members are unavailable or do not answer the call, the contact center send the call to the configures coverage point. You can configure the number of ring cycles before coverage. If you do not configure coverage, the contact center rejects the unanswered call.

By default, Configuration Server does not display the Group Calls page for all users. To enable the display of the page, assign it to the user in the Security application.
