On the Vector Variables page, you can define variables for call vectoring. Vector variables improve the efficiency of vector configuration and provide management and application control. You can assign a definition to each variable and use it for several vectors.
Using variables simplifies vector configuration as it reduces the number of vectors for your call center and creates more specific vectors. You can use different types of variables for call processing. Depending on the type, variables can use specific call parameters or fixed values for all calls.
You can set different scopes for variables. Some variables have predefined scopes. You can select the following scopes for variables:
Local: Uses call parameters for a variable only within the original vector. Routing Core Server clears the variable value after the call passes vector processing.
Global: Applies a variable to all vectors in the contact center.
Persistent: Uses call parameters for multiple vectors that process the call. Routing Core Server retains the last assigned variable value during the call.
