About this task

Add an endpoint and configure the related features and buttons manually. You can later duplicate the created endpoint to add more endpoints with a similar configuration. You cannot add endpoints with the extensions that match the dial plan specifications for the reserved call type.

Procedure

  1. On the Configuration Server web portal, go to Administration > Endpoints > Manage Endpoints.
  2. At the top-right corner of the Endpoints page, click the Add icon.

The Configuration Server displays the endpoint configuration fields.

  3. On the top half of the page, in Extension, type the endpoint extension number.

You can type a maximum of 16 digits.

  4. In Name, type the endpoint name.

You can type a maximum of 35 Unicode characters.

  5. In Password, type the password for logging in to the endpoint.

You can type a maximum of 13 digits. The minimum length of the agent's PIN depends on the Minimum Agent PIN Length value that you configure on the Agent Profiles screen. If you do not select a default agent profile for an agent, the minimum length of the agent's PIN is 4.

  6. On the General Options subtab, in Permission Sets (COR), select the required permission set for the endpoint.

You can configure permission sets on the Permission Sets (COR) screen of the System tab.

  7. Configure the required fields.
  8. Click the Button Assignment subtab.
  9. To add a new button, click Add New.
  10. Optional On the left, edit the line number to configure a specific button.
  11. From the drop-down list on the left, select a feature that the agent can access by pressing the button.

You cannot assign the Call Forward All Calls, Send All Calls, Call Pickup, Call Park, and Call Unpark features to multiple buttons.

  12. In Label Name, type the button label.

You can type a maximum of 50 Unicode characters.

  13. Repeat steps 8 to 11 until you configure all endpoint buttons.
  14. Click the Profile Settings subtab and configure the required settings.
  15. At the top-right corner of the page, click Commit.

Configuration Server saves the endpoint configuration and redirects you to the Endpoints page.
