Adding skills

About this task

To configure your contact center, add a skill and then assign it to an agent on the Agents screen. You can add up to 15,000 skills.

Procedure

  1. On the Configuration Server web portal, go to Administration > Contact Center > Skills.
  2. At the top-right corner of the Skills screen, click the Add icon.

    The Configuration Server displays the skill configuration fields.

  3. On the General subtab, in Skill Number, type the skill number.

    The value range is 1 through 15,000.

  4. In Skill Name, type the skill name.

    You can type a maximum of 35 Unicode characters.

  5. Configure the remaining fields on the General subtab.
  6. Click the Advanced subtab and configure the required settings.
  7. Click the RONA Parameters subtab and configure the required settings.
  8. At the top-right corner of the screen, click Commit.

    The Configuration Server saves the skill configuration and redirects you to the Skills screen.
