About this task

Add a VALUE variable to switch vector applications from one operational mode to another. You can also use the VALUE variable to manually adjust or test vector processing. You can associate a VALUE variable with a feature access code that the agent enters to enable certain features.

Procedure

  1. On the Configuration Server web portal, go to Administration > Contact Center > Vector Variables.
  2. At the top-right corner of the Vector Variables screen, click the Add icon.

The Configuration Server displays the variable configuration fields.

  3. In Name, type the variable name.

You can type a maximum of 20 letters of the basic Latin script.

  4. In Type, select value.
  5. In Assignment, type the value for the variable.

You can type a digit from 0 to 9. The default value is 0. If you associate a feature access code with the variable, this field displays the code dialed on the phone.

  6. In Description, type a short description for the variable.

You can type a maximum of 50 Unicode characters.

  7. At the top-right corner of the screen, click Commit.

The Configuration Server saves the variable configuration and redirects you to the Vector Variables screen.
