Configuring system settings

About this task

On the System Settings screen, you can update the Configuration Server web portal settings, such as the number of users that can simultaneously access the Configuration Server web portal, the maximum number of possible Configuration Server connection sessions, and the period of time during which a user can be inactive before the Configuration Server web portal logs the user out. You can also configure a message that the Configuration Server web portal displays on the Login screen.

Procedure

  1. On the Security App navigation menu, click System Settings.
  2. In Security Banner, type a message to display on the Login screen of the Configuration Server web portal.
  3. In Total Sessions Allowed, type the maximum number of the Configuration Server connection sessions.

    The maximum number of the Configuration Server connection sessions depends on the solution deployment environment.

  4. In User Sessions Allowed, type the maximum number of users that can simultaneously log in to the Configuration Server web portal.

    The maximum number of simultaneously logged in users depends on the solution deployment environment. One user can have multiple Configuration Server connection sessions.

  5. To set a period of time during which a user can be inactive before the Configuration Server web portal logs this user out, do the following:
    1. In Idle User Timeout, type the number.
    2. In the drop-down list next to Idle User Timeout, select the required time unit.
  6. In Previous passwords that must not match, type the number of previous passwords that the new password must not match.

    The value range is 1 through 30.

  7. At the bottom-right corner of the screen, click SAVE.

    The Configuration Server web portal saves the system configuration and logs all users out of the web portal.
