Configuring Unistim firmware management for Avaya Device Adapter

From Release 10.1, you can use the Enable automatic firmware upgrades attribute to enable or disable the firmware upgrades for the Unistim phones when the user registers with Avaya Device Adapter for the first time.
By default, the Enable automatic firmware upgrades attribute is set to No.
To register the Unistim phone with firmware upgrades, set the Enable automatic firmware upgrades attribute value to Yes.
  1. Navigate to ElementsAvaya BreezeConfigurationAttributes.
  2. To enable or disable firmware upgrades, do the following:
    • On a cluster level, click the Service Clusters tab, select the appropriate application cluster, and select the service as DeviceAdapter.
    • On a global level, click the Service Global tab and select the service as DeviceAdapter.
  3. On the Attributes Configuration page, navigate to the IP Telephony Node section.
  4. To override the default value of an attribute, select the Override Default check box corresponding to the attribute.
  5. In the Enable automatic firmware upgrades field, in Effective Value, select:
    • Yes to enable automatic firmware upgrades.
    • No to disable automatic firmware upgrades.
  6. Click Commit to save the changes.
