Predialing state for UNIStim phones

From Release 10.1, Device Adapter supports the Predial state for Unistim phones with the on-hook dialing feature. Numbers in the on-hook dialing state are dialed without the numbers matching against the dial plan.
  1. The user enters digits using the keypad; the Device Adapter collects them.
  2. When the user selects a line appearance, the Device Adapter does not analyze dialed digits against the dial plan. All dialed digits are sent to the Session Manager.
    1. The Device Adapter initiates the call with the Session Manager and Communication Manager.
    2. Call progress conforms to SIP call handling (speech path cut through, tones, and so on.).
    3. If the call fails:
      STEP RESULT:
      • Appropriate messaging and tones are provided to the caller.
      • When the caller clears the call, the user endpoint is idled.
    4. Alternatively, if the called party does not answer:
      STEP RESULT:
      • If the far end fails the call, appropriate messaging and tones are provided to the caller.
      • When the caller clears the call, the user endpoint and any remaining call attempt artifacts are cleared or idled, as applicable.
    5. Else:
      STEP RESULT:
      • When the call is answered, features supported at that time are available.
      • When either party clears the call, the user endpoint is idled.
