In this procedure, Speed Dial and Hotline translate to abbreviated-dialing group lists.
Before you begin
You must configure an abbreviated dialing list 1/2/3 Access Code.
A special hotline virtual station, XPORT 9408, is created for this feature.
Log in to System Manager using the administrative credentials.
On the Elements menu, click Communication ManagerEnd PointsManage Endpoints.
Select the user and click Edit.
On the General Options (G) tab, type the required voicemail number in the Message Lamp Ext. field.
Click Commit.
STEP RESULT:
To verify if the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) feature works correctly, leave a test voicemail message, and check if the MWI indicator activates on the phone.
