Configuring Session Manager registration timer

Before Release 10.1, there were no options to configure a value used in Expires SIP header in the REGISTER message. The value was hardcoded to 3600 seconds.
From Release 10.1, you can configure time in minutes in SM registration timeout field on the ElementsAvaya BreezeConfigurationAttributesService Clusters page.
  1. Navigate to ElementsAvaya BreezeConfigurationAttributes.
  2. To configure time in the SM registration timeout field, do the following:
    • On a cluster level, click the Service Clusters tab, select the appropriate application cluster, and select the service as DeviceAdapter.
    • On a global level, click the Service Global tab and select the service as DeviceAdapter.
  3. On the Attributes Configuration page, navigate to the Miscellaneous Parameters section.
  4. To override the default value of an attribute, select the Override Default check box corresponding to the attribute.
  5. In SM registration timeout, in Effective Value, type the duration in minutes the Session Manager registration should last after which the Session Manager automatically unregisters user devices that fails to maintain registration.

    Note:
    By default, SM registration timeout is set to 60 minutes or 3600 seconds.
  6. Click Commit.

    A service restart is required for changes to take effect.
