At the computer, open the application that you use to record .wav files, such as Microsoft Sound Recorder.
Set the recording parameters.
Speak into a microphone that is connected to the computer and record the announcement.
Assign a name to the .wav file, following the rules for defining announcement names on the Announcements/Audio Sources screen.
Make sure that the resulting file name on the PC does have the .wav file extension as part of the name.
Important:
For the system to access this announcement file, the file name, minus the .wav file extension, must exactly match the name on the Announcements/Audio Sources screen.
Play the announcement back at the computer before you transfer the file to the announcement source.
