National ISDN-2 services

Communication Manager supports National ISDN-2 (NI-2), which offers many of the same services as the AT&T Switched Network protocol. The NI-2 protocol is used when the DS1 media module is administered for Country Code 1, Protocol Version b.

NI-2 provides users with the following services:

  • Calling Line Identification

  • Non-Facility Associated Signaling (ISDN-PRI only)

  • D-Channel Backup, but with ISDN-PRI only

  • Wideband Switching, but with ISDN-PRI only

  • Call-by-Call Service Selection
