AES certificate management provides support for setting up secure connections from AES to the relevant Avaya Oceana® component (CSC) using standard identify certificates and trusted CA signed certificates. Certificate installation activity is a maintenance activity and must be performed during maintenance window when there is no call traffic in the system.
In the following procedures described, a TLS based communication links is setup between AES and CSC after creating new AES CA signed certificate and importing both AES CA signed certificate and the CA root certificate into the AES trusted certificates store.
The following procedures in this section uses System Manager as the CA. However, you can also use third party Enterprise CA in the overall solution. In this way, you can perform secure certificate operations in Avaya Oceana® and AES deployment using System Manager. The same method also applies to who do not use Avaya CA’s or Enterprise CA.
