Configuring space security

About this task

Use this procedure to secure an existing Context Store cluster.

For configuring security in a new cluster, you must first create the cluster and perform the steps in this procedure. To configure a new cluster, see the Avaya Context Store Snap-in Reference document.

Procedure

  1. On the System Manager web console, click Elements > Avaya Breeze > Cluster Administration.
  2. Select the check box of the cluster that you want to secure.
  3. In Cluster State, click Deny New Service.
  4. On the Warning: Deny New Service page, click Continue.

    System Manager changes the state of the cluster to Denying.

  5. Select the check box of the cluster that you want to secure again and click Edit.

    System Manager displays the Cluster Editor page.

  6. Scroll down to the Cluster Attributes section, in the Grid password field, enter the unique password.
  7. Select the Use secure grid? check box.
  8. Click Commit.

    System Manager prompts you to ensure all Avaya Breeze® platform server restarts are complete before placing the cluster into the Accept New Service state.

  9. Click OK.
  10. In the left navigation pane, click Cluster Administration.
  11. Select the check box of the new or the modified cluster.
  12. In Cluster State, select Accept New Service.
  13. In the Accept New Service window, click Continue.

    System Manager displays the status as Accepting in the Servers State column.
