Configuring system delivery failure rule

About this task

You can configure system delivery failure rule to ensure that any email message that contains particular phrases such as undeliverable, returned mail, unknown recipient, delivery failure, or delivery report is deleted and not assigned to an agent. When you create a recipient mailbox, the system delivery failure rule is copied as the first regular rule into the list of rules for the recipient mailbox.

Procedure

  1. Start Omnichannel Administration Utility.
  2. In the navigation pane, click E-mail.
  3. Click System Rules.
  4. In System Delivery Failure Rule section, in the Routepoint field, select a route point name to apply for the rule.

    You must select the Email Route Point that you configured using Avaya Control Manager.

  5. To change the keyword group, in the Keyword Group list, select the keyword that you can search in an email message.
  6. In the Priority list, select the priority for the contact.
  7. In the right pane, select the attributes.

    For example, Language.English.

    If you cannot close an email, you can route it to agent attribute set that is configured in the Edit Attributes section.

  8. Select the Will close contact check box to have the rule to close the contact.
  9. Click Save.
