Configuring an SMS provider

About this task

Use this procedure to create a new SMS provider through Avaya Control Manager.

Before you begin

Ensure that Avaya Oceana® Cluster 1 is in the running and accepting state.

Procedure

  1. Log on to Control Manager.
  2. Navigate to Configuration > Avaya Oceana™ > Server Details.
  3. On the Avaya Oceana Server List page, do one of the following:

    • Double-click the administered Avaya Oceana® server.

    • Select the administered Avaya Oceana® server and click Edit.

  4. Select the Providers tab.
  5. Click Add.
  6. In the Type field, select SMS.
  7. In the Name field, keep the value OCP ShortMessageService.
  8. In the Address field, enter sms.
  9. In the Auto Answer Timer (sec) field, enter the time in seconds after which the interaction must be answered automatically.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Restart the clusters to make the new provider available to Avaya Workspaces agents.
