Adding an announcement name in the Web Client

You can record an announcement in the ACD system. In the Dictionary, enter an extension number, name, and description for the announcement.
  1. Navigate to AdministrationDictionaryAnnouncements.
  2. In the Current ACD list, select the active ACD for which you want to administer announcement names.
    STEP RESULT:
    CMS Supervisor displays the announcement names administered for the selected ACD.
  3. Click Add Announcement.
  4. In the Announcement Extension field, enter an extension number for the announcement.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    The extension can contain 3 to 7 numbers. When callers enter this extension, they hear the announcement.
  5. In the Announcement Name field, enter a name for the announcement.
  6. In the Description field, enter a brief description with additional information about the announcement.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    You can enter up to 50 characters. This field cannot contain the pipe (|) symbol, a semicolon, or double quotes.
  7. Click OK to save your changes.
